Patient Education
Our focus at Oxboro Dental Care is on your health and comfort. We feel that you’ll be more comfortable if you know what to expect from your visit. We will spend time discussing your proposed treatment with you so that you fully understand the reasons for, and desired results of, that treatment plan.  We try to present several treatment options for any particular dental problem, and we work with you to help communicate with your insurance company to maximize any insurance benefits. We utilize several types of teaching aids to help describe dental problems and procedures including models, computer programs, pictures, and articles. You are always in control of your treatment plan.  To search for information about specific dental topics, please see our “Links” section and visit one of the many helpful websites listed there.

Family Dentistry
Dr. Swenby and Dr. Bachman are both experienced in many types of dental practice.  We are able to provide a full range of dental treatment for our patients, from sealants and children’s dental care to root canals and extractions to dentures and partials for replacement of missing teeth, to crowns, veneers, implants and even full-mouth reconstructions.  We are particularly proud to offer single-appointment Cerec crowns as well as Invisalign orthodontic treatment. We particularly enjoy helping to make attractive bright smiles. In addition, our hygienists are able to provide the full range of dental cleaning and periodontal services to make sure that the patient’s gums and tissues are kept as healthy as possible.

Cosmetic Dentistry
We spend a lot of time and effort with each patient ascertaining the specific needs and goals for their cosmetic dental care. We focus on form, function, and esthetics with every treatment plan or procedure. At Oxboro Dental Care, we are proud to offer some of the best cosmetic dental care available. Dr. Bachman and Dr. Swenby have attended many continuing education seminars on the latest and best cosmetic materials and techniques. Whether it’s a simple filling or a complex full-mouth reconstruction, we can select from materials and techniques that allow us to achieve a beautiful and natural-looking result.  We offer tooth whitening, “white” or “tooth-colored” fillings, single-appointment porcelain crowns, veneers, bridges, implants, and many other cosmetic restorations and procedures.

CEREC®

Before

After

We are proud to offer one-appointment CEREC® milled ceramic restorations.  CEREC® crowns and inlays (fillings) represent the latest and greatest that dentistry has to offer in the restoration of decayed and broken teeth.  The CEREC® restoration has many advantages over traditional crowns or fillings: the material is 103% as strong as tooth enamel, the preparation design allows us to conserve much more tooth structure, the bonding technique allows us to “weld” the restoration to the tooth, rather than cementing or “gluing” it, and the many shades of ceramic we have at our disposal allow us to create a crown or filling with unparalleled esthetics.  Imagine having a new crown or inlay completed, start-to-finish, in one 90-minute visit! Now you can, with CEREC®.

Invisalign®
We are proud to offer Invisalign® orthodontic treatment, the invisible way to straighten your teeth, without braces.  Invisalign® can give you the beautiful straight teeth you've always wanted. It works through a series of invisible, removable, and comfortable aligners that no one can tell you're wearing. So you can smile more during treatment as well as after. Invisalign® has been proven effective and is growing rapidly worldwide as a more desirable alternative to conventional metal brackets and braces.  The main advantages of Invisalign® are esthetics, comfort, and the ability to remove the Aligners so that you can enjoy your favorite foods and maintain ideal oral hygiene… all of this without compromising the quality of the final clinical result or the amount of time spent in treatment!  The Invisalign® system works through a series of removable aligners (pictured at right) that are worn 20-22 hours a day, removing them to eat, brush, and floss. The teeth are slowly moved by the aligners, resulting in the desired final alignment. The average treatment time is about twelve months, but many corrections can be made in as little as six to nine months. For more information about Invisalign®, visit www.invisalign.com.
